Matthew Marquis

(b. 1980) is an American realist/surrealist with a traditional view. His paintings range from the simple, everyday life, to a surreal, dali-esque dream world and beyond. Having grown up in a small, suburban town, he focuses on the simplicities of everyday life adding a traditional touch. When he is not painting from his roots, he is contemplating images by the art movement that has inspired him the most... Sur r e a l i s m. With no formal education in art, Matt continues to "WOW" his audiences and plans to show the world his art.
